The Career Center is now the Center for Career Development
The University of Notre Dame’s new Center for Career Development was established in January 2018. The Center, located on the 5th floor of Duncan Student Center, provides a world-class interview center with more than 45 interview and meeting spaces. Additionally, the 5th floor encompasses five offices located in two office suites:
Undergraduate Career Services
Reporting to the Division of Student Affairs, this team provides career counseling and professional development opportunities to all undergraduate students. Career counseling and programs offered by The Career Center in Flanner Hall are now coordinated through Undergraduate Career Services.
Graduate Career Services
Reporting to both the Division of Student Affairs and the Graduate School, this team provides career consulting and professional development opportunities to master’s and Ph.D. students in the College of Arts and Letters, College of Engineering, College of Science, and professional master’s programs.
Mendoza Graduate Business Career Services
Reporting to the Dean of the Mendoza College of Business, this team provides career coaching and professional development opportunities to graduate business students enrolled in the MBA, EMBA, MSA, MNA, and MSM programs
This team further cultivates relationships with recruiters, companies, and organizations that hire Notre Dame students for internships and full-time positions. Employer Engagement is a “shared services team” that provides support for undergraduate and graduate students.
Operations and Event Services
Also a shared services team, this staff manages the 5th floor of Duncan Student Center, coordinates career fairs and other career-related programs, and manages Go IRISH, Notre Dame’s online recruiting platform.
The North Suite of the Center houses Graduate Career Services and Mendoza Graduate Business Career Services, while Undergraduate Career Services, Employer Engagement, and Operations and Event Services are located in the South Suite. Reception desks are conveniently located near the north and south elevators.
When not in use for interviews and career-related programs, rooms on the 5th floor will be open for departmental and student group meetings and events. Many of our interview rooms will also be made available evenings and weekends for studying.
